La 12a Reunion RED SIMAPRO se realizara los dias 27 y 28 de septiembre en Guadalajara y en el Ingenio Tala. Anfitrion: Grupo GAM. En Chile se inicio SIMAPRO en 4 unidades agricolas del sector fruticola,pertencientes a 2 empresas. En la etapa piloto estaran participando 150 trabajadores, basicamente mujeres con contratos temporales. A diferencia de otras experiencias, ellos empezaron con la elaboración de una guia de auto formacion y evaluacion por competencias y despues aplicaran el sistema de medicion y retroalimentacion. El proyecto se hace de manera conjunta entre la asociacion de exportadores de fruta (ASOEX), la entidad capacitadora del sector (AGROCAP), la consultora Interfases y la OIT. The 12th Network Meeting will take place in Guadalajara, Mexico, days 27-28 September, with a visit to sugarmill Tala, of Grupo GAM. Central theme of the meeting will be the brand new collective agreeement in view of NAFTA 2008, with competencies placed in the hart of the labor relations, focused at competitiveness, productivity and Decent Work.

ProMES started in Chile's fruit sector. A pilot project in 4 production flieds took off last month. It is done under the auspices of the national chamber of fruit exporters, the training unit of the sector, the ILO and a consultancy firm (Interfases). In this stage, 150 temporally workers, basically women, are trained in critical competencies of selecting and packing and will be part of the measurement and feedback system of ProMES.
