ad 1. Los dias 24 y 25 de septiembre proximos se realizara la 14a Reunion RED SIMAPRO y Trabajo Decente en la Industria Azucarera, en Veracruz, Mexico. El tema central es: competencias laborales y competitividad socialmente sostenible. Es el desafio de introducir el concepto de generar valor para los 'stake holders' o grupos de interés, en el sistema de competencias de las empresas. Habra participacion de experiencias de Brasil, Colombia, Cuba, Republica Dominicana y Mexico. En este ultimo caso, se presentaran los avances en el diseño de las guias de autoformacion y evaluacion por competencias en el sector, asi como innovaciones en la aplicacion del SIMAPRO. ad 2. El curso GRH por competencias de la OIT-Turin que se realizara los días 29 Septiembre al 7 de Octubre 2008 en Cuernavaca, Mexico, esta a punto de llenarse en cuanto a su cupo. El diseno del curso es nuevo e incluye 1 modulo de base (gestion integral y dinamica por competencias) y 2 modulos de especializacion (diseno de puesto, reclutamiento y seleccion por competencias) y gestion del desempeño por competencias. ad 3. El SIMAPRO en el sector fruticola en Chile se propuso un ambicioso reto para los proximos meses: capacitar a 500 trabajadores (as) eventuales (temporeros) a partir de Guias de Autoformacion y Evaluacion por Competencias, confeccionadas como traje a la medida de cada empresa. Se complementa con la aplicacion del SIMAPRPO para concretar las mejoras en productividad y condiciones de trabajo en una forma permanente.

ad 1: The 14th Network Meeting of Promes and Decent Work in the Sugar Industry will be held on September 24-25, in Veracruz, Mexico. The central topic is: competencies and social sustainable competitiveness. The key issue to discuss is how to introduce the concept of creating stakeholders value into the competency framework of the industry. Experiences from Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Dominican Repubic and Mexico will be shared. In the Mexican case, novelties will be presented on the self training and assessment guides and in the applications of Promes. The place of the meeting is: Hotel Villas Dali. ad 2. The next edition of the ILO-Turin course on integral and dynamic competency based HRM (CBHRM) will be delivered from September 29 till October 7, in Cuernavaca, Mexico. The course has a new design. It starts with designing the architecture of an integral and dynamic CBHRM, in line with the ILO values and policies. Then it splits up in two modules; one is Competency Based Job Description, Recruitment and Selection; the other is Competency Based Performance Management and Certification of Competencies. ad 3. The Promes-team in Chile wiil train this new harvest season, 500 temporary workers in the fruit sector. They will use the Self Training and Assessment Guides in Productivity and Working Conditions enhancement, which are tailored to the context of each firm, using the principle of 'mass customization'. It is completed with Promes at the workfloor for achieving continuous improvement and impact measurement.
