ad 1. El 29 de enero se realizará la 3era Reunion SIMAPRO y Competencias Laborales en el sector Turismo, en el Hotel Presidente Chapultepec, Mexico DF. Se presentaran experiencias de ese hotel y casos de Cuernvaca, DF y Bahia Banderas (Nayarit), asi como los avances del estudio de la OIT-Cinterfor sobre turismo y trabajo decente en el sector turismo de AL.

ad 2: En el marco del proyecto de la de modernización laboral en la industria azucarera (OIT) se trabajó durante un ano simultaneamente en 13 ingenios en Mexico para concluir el 2009 con un total de 641 trabajadores certifcados en la competencia laboral de seguridad y salud en el trabajo y conservacion del medio ambiente. Se certificaron con el estandar de CONOCER, previamente capacitados con guiás de autoformacion y evaluacion en dicha competencia. Mas informacion: http://competenciasazucar.ning.com
ad 3: El SIMAPRO y especialmente las Guias de Autoformacion por Competencias en el sector fruticola de exportacion en Chile inicio en el ano 2007, por iniciativa de Interfases, Agrocap y la OIT Chile. Los trabajadores, la mayoria mujeres, temporeros capacitados con base en las guías aumentó de 150 en 2007 a 784 en 2009, acumulando un total de 1639 personas capacitadas para el inicio del 2010. ad 4: Proximo curso sobre el diseño de un modelo integral y dinamico de GRH por Competencias en las organizaciones para mejorar la productividad y condiciones de trabajo, se realizara entre el 10 y 21 de mayo en el Centro de Formacion de la OIT en Turin. ad 1: The 3rd Network Meeting on ProMES (Productivity Measurement and Enhancement System) and Competency Management in Tourism Sector will be held on January 29. Intercontinental Group Hotel Presidente Chapultepec is host. Hotels from Bahia Banderas (Nayarit) will share their just started experiences with ProMES, along with experiences from Cuernavaca (Villa del Cortes) and Mexico DF (Fonda San Angel, Hotel Presidente Chapultepec). A forthcoming study of the ILO on Tourism, productivity and decent work, will be presented in this meeting. More info: http://simaproturismo.ning.com
ad 2: Under the ILO project on modernization in labor relations in the Mexican Sugar Industry, a competency framework has setup in simultaneously 13 factories. By the end of 2009, 641 union workers had been certified in the health and safety - environmental management competency standard of the national awarding body CONOCER. ad 3: In the Chilean Fruit Sector, ProMES and the Competency based Self Training Guides started in 2007 as an initiative of the training firm Interfases and the sectoral leadbody Agrocap, with a 150 temporary workers, mostly women, trained with an integral approach.
